So People Are Actually Tattooing Freckles On Their Face Now.
It seems there is a beauty trend popping up every five minutes. From no-heat hairstyles, Ash Balayage hair, braid to knots, copper nails, to charcoal face masks, these are for fun generally. For the most part, beauty trends are meant to work with what you have, highlighting your own, unique beauty.
We have to understand that just because something in vogue does not mean we have to torture ourselves to achieve a look through tanning beds, butt implants and corsets. But there are some trends that actually fight back at something that in the past was actually pasted over with heavy concealer because it wasn't considered necessarily beautiful.
Women wanting to have that ethereal, face fresh look often dab eye pencil to make freckles.
In the past, women would use make-up to cover their freckles. In extreme cases they used bleaching creams and laser their skin to remove freckles permanently. Nonetheless, exposure to the sun would immediately make them pop up again.
Today, women are loving freckles to the point where penciling them in is not enough.
Women are opting to tattoo their faces with permanent freckles.

Tattooing the face in the name of fashion is not new. Women have inked their eyebrows, lips, and eyeliner in the past.
Freckling consist of tattoo artists adding naturally-looking dots over the face. Think of a modern-day version of the Raggedy Ann doll.

Gabrielle Rainbow is a tattoo artist in Montreal, Canada. She says depending on the artist, a session to get "freckling" done starts at $250.
"In terms of the freckles, when they are 'freshly done,' they will appear swollen almost like bee stings, and the swelling will go down within a couple hours and you'll be left with your cute, fresh freckles," Rainbow told NewBeauty.

"Over the course of one to two months, the colour will soften dramatically and look more natural," Rainbow explains. "They will fade naturally with time, and if you wish to keep them you can always get the colour boosted whenever you like.
Rainbow does warn people who are looking at following this trend to do their homework and know the artist who is going to ink their face.
